AC and Electrical Service Across West Volusia

Add up the five West Volusia towns we track and the total from January 2023 to October 2026 is 4,899 completed jobs: 1,713 in DeBary, 1,631 in Deltona, 908 in Orange City, 578 in DeLand and 69 in Osteen. That is about four of every ten jobs ACE completed in that period.

For the four larger towns we also know what kind of work it was. Together they account for 4,000 AC service calls, 409 maintenance visits and 163 new system installs. Cooling is the heart of it, which fits a place where the AC runs most of the year. Start with AC repair or system replacement.

The area is more than its four largest towns. We also work in Lake Helen, Osteen, Enterprise, Pierson and DeLeon Springs, and Osteen alone accounts for 69 of the jobs above.

Each of the larger towns has its own page with its own numbers and the buildings we built there: DeBary, Deltona, Orange City and DeLand. For the whole county, including the coast, see Volusia County.

A yearly tune-up lets us catch a weak part before it fails in the middle of summer. For a standard AC tune-up visit, what our customers actually paid for completed jobs from January 2023 to October 2026 typically came to $189, and the middle half paid $166 to $337. You get your own price before the visit starts. A maintenance plan bundles the visits for a yearly fee and adds repair discounts at the Gold and Platinum levels. See AC tune-ups and the current offer on promotions.

Summer storms and hurricane season bring outages, power surges and, now and then, a damaged service mast. Our electricians install standby generators with transfer switches, inlets and interlocks for portable generators, and whole-home surge protection. A standby generator needs room in the panel for its transfer switch, so we check that first. After a storm they repair service risers and masts so the utility can reconnect the house.

If the outdoor AC unit has been under water or hit by debris, leave it off and have it checked before you turn it back on.

Duke Energy Florida supplies power to most of West Volusia. Homes here heat with a heat pump or electric heat strips rather than gas, and Duke offers rebates when a qualifying heat pump goes in.

If Duke is your electric company, plan the rebate before the install. Duke requires a free Duke Home Energy Check, an all-electric home, a full system replacement and a permit, and you must apply within 12 months. The amounts and the latest rules are on financing and rebates.

ACE has built the HVAC in 10 commercial buildings on this side of the county. Among them are two Orange City projects, CVS Pharmacy with Young Contracting in 2010 and Volusia County Baptist Church with Sutherland Construction in 2007, and the Islamic Center in DeBary with Cotter Ryan Construction in 2009. For service on an existing building, see commercial HVAC service.
