Daytona Beach, FL – Ace Air Conditioning was awarded the mechanical contract for the new Lee E. Rhyant Residential Life Center at Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach. The 62,175 square foot building will be comprised of three wings and include housing for 270 students as well as a cafe, classrooms, computer labs, guest suites and study, lounge and laundry areas.

Ace Air Conditioning along with TDH Construction will be using energy efficient materials and building techniques in order in diminish this facility’s impact on the environment by reducing overall energy consumption. Ace is installing 130 highly efficient Daiken units. Each dorm room suite will have its own separate temperature control while using the same outdoor condensing unit. Ace will also install the kitchen hood and Ansul system for the cafe.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the state-of-the-art co-educational honors facility will be Thursday, October 22, 2010.
